DroneThe Drone, also known as the Lurker, Scout, Stalker or Worker, is a form of Xenomorph, often said to be the most basic caste. It is a loyal servant for the Queen, but essentially represents the lowliest class of Xenomorph, comparable to a worker ant. Drones construct Alien Hives, using a resin-like secretion that they produce, and collect hosts for impregnation. Drones are easily identified by their smooth head carapaces, among the smoothest of all Xenomorphs, and they are capable of spitting cysts of acidic blood at their enemies. They average around 7–8 feet tall when standing on hind legs, and about 14–15 feet long, tail included.

RunnerThe Runner, also known as the Dog Alien, Ox Alien or Scout, is a Xenomorph caste spawned from a quadrupedal host animal such as a dog. Runners, as their name implies, are fast and agile, and like Drones can spit acid from their mouths. Runners have variously been seen as being slightly larger and slightly smaller than typical human-spawned Aliens, differences that no doubt derive from the animal that hosted the creature.

WarriorThe Warrior, also known as the Soldier or Hunter, is the primary assault caste of Xenomorph and as such it is almost certainly the most numerous caste of Xenomorph in existence. They are fast, reasonably tough, and savage combatants. Even in death the Warrior is dangerous, as its pressurised bloodstream will cause it to burst apart, drenching nearby enemies in acid. Warriors are identified by their ridged heads and stand around 7–8 feet tall on their hind legs. They are about 14–16 feet long, including their tail.

PredalienA Predalien is a Xenomorph that has spawned from a Predator. Owing to the Xenomorph's inherent ability to take genetic traits from its host, the Predalien has many Predator features not otherwise found on Aliens, including dreadlocks and mandibles around the mouth. They are voracious creatures, often shown to possess strength far in excess of regular Xenomorphs. They are apparently rare and are regarded by Predators as an abomination and an insult to their species.

PraetorianThe Praetorian is one of the final stages in the Xenomorph life cycle, and arguably the most common and widely-acknowledged form of Xenomorph to emerge from the numerous castes. Praetorians serve as guards to their Hive's Queen and unlike other Xenomorph types Praetorians rarely operate outside their Hive grounds. They are among the largest and most powerful Xenomorph strains. Visually, Praetorians resemble a Queen, though smaller in size (although they are still far larger than typical Xenomorphs), typically standing at least 10 feet tall.

CarrierThe Carrier Alien is an alternate life cycle form of the Praetorian. Instead of the Ravager's devastating melee attack, it carries up to six to twelve Facehuggers which makes it a perfect carrier as its name implies, the Alien brings the Facehuggers to the target allowing easier access. The Carrier also explodes after death spraying acid over all nearby attackers. It feeds its facehugger cargo nutrients to keep them alive until it can wing them at an enemy.

RavagerThe Ravager is presumed to be the Xenomorph evolutionary response to the heavier military equipment brought to bear by more advanced species. This massive beast towers above other Xenomorphs, short of the queen, and has a uniquely terrifying presence in battle. Instead of just having hands, its upper extremities terminate in "hull blades" capable of easily slicing through even advanced armors and metals. A Ravager is developed from a Praetorian.

QueenA Queen is a large Xenomorph that serves as the mother and leader of a Xenomorph Hive. Her appearance differs from that of smaller variants, with a pair of extra arms growing from her chest and a large head crest extending rearwards from her skull. Queens are the largest, strongest and most intelligent Xenomorph caste.
Queens are capable of engaging in combat and are formidable opponents, but such an event is a rare occurrence. Rather Queens usually act as stationary Egg-layers within the Hive, letting the Praetorians (or Drones and Warriors) perform any defensive or offensive tasks. A Queen additionally oversees the maintenance of the nest, a task carried out by the Drones. When laying Eggs a Queen possesses a huge egg sac that renders it immobile. Queens are significantly more intelligent than normal Xenomorphs, displaying traits of wrath and vengeance beyond any purely instinctual behavior, have displayed problem-solving skills, and are also capable of issuing orders and commands to subservient castes. |
